Dimension Data’s new Manage Centre web portal was developed in response to their clients’ changing expectations, and particularly their need for at-a-glance updates about their data centres’ impact on business performance.
Developed, tested and deployed in just 12 weeks, their solution provides easy-to-understand, traffic light performance indicators that intuitively highlight areas requiring attention. It’s a browser-based portal that can be accessed from tablet computers, laptops and desktop PCs, meaning it can be used to access instant updates anywhere in the world, from any internet-connected device.
This was Dimension Data’s first attempt to follow UX design methodology – and it’s been so successful that they’re applying the lessons learned to inform the way they design, develop and deliver all their services. It’s helped Dimension Data to grow their business with new client wins, and user engagement with Manage Centre far outstrips that of their old portal, increasing by almost 600%.
