Buckwud bottles the best 100% pure maple syrup, sourced and produced in Canada for the UK market. Unlike competitor products, Buckwud syrup isn’t blended with other sugar-based liquids – a major selling point for Wellness Foods, owner of the brand and producer of other Rowse products.
To reposition the maple syrup under a separate brand, Buckwud turned to BrandOpus to communicate the premium nature of the product to the consumer. The redesign needed to communicate Buckwud’s 100% purity and rich Canadian heritage. BrandOpus ensured this message was delivered effectively to the customer, through a renaming of the brand and a distinctive, recognisable brand image.
After the relaunch as Buckwud Maple Syrup, sales of £231,000 were achieved within four months and 52% growth in category value sales. Sales were also secured with Tesco, who rolled out the brand in 522 stores.
