The clear, compelling design of Clarivate’s ‘Top 100 Global Innovators’ microsite improved engagement; page views increased 669% and 190% more reports were downloaded.
Each year, to raise brand awareness, Clarivate announces the Top 100 Global Innovators – a list of the most innovative companies around the globe. For the 2021 release and tenth anniversary, Clarivate Brand Experience Design and Studio Texture were briefed with designing the Top 100 report, its associated microsite and assets, including social posts and digital banners, and jointly created the concept.
The clear communication design with its impactful typography and strong visual theme, maximised conversions across the customer journey and report downloads were higher than any other year. The visual theme celebrating energetic moments of inspiration at the beginning of innovation, was repeated across all the assets to create visual unity and an ownable, recognisable and engaging narrative.
The visuals were also brought to life through animation to create ‘thumb-stopping’ content increasing overall engagement on social channels by 409%. More customers were driven through to the microsite as a result, where the optimised design encouraged interactions with the content, reducing bounce rate by 35.5 points to 32.7%.
As a direct result of the increase in engagement and report downloads, there was a record number of marketing qualified leads, delivering 115% more extra business opportunities to Clarivate’s pipeline than the previous year’s performance.
