The Copas family have been rearing turkeys for Christmas since 1957, and needed a brand image that reflected their rich history and ethical practices. Their truly free range birds are still hand plucked and game-hung, and the brand demanded fine packaging and a strong, traditional position within the market.
Holmes and Marchant helped bring the brand to life with a new identity, rolled out across packaging and point of sale materials. Their positioning of Copas turkeys as the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of turkeys within the meat industry differentiated the company from other seasonal producers during the pivotal Christmas period.
The new brand design and packaging took immediate effect: Copas Turkeys saw a 40% increase in their wholesale unit sales within five years, and the successful launch of an online shop and nationwide home delivery service. The brand now counts Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols as stockists.
