With a market in decline and a limited budget, the new management team at the Nethergate Brewery were hard-pressed to give their signature ales some much-needed market visibility. JDO were given the task of expanding the Growler portfolio into new areas of the market.
JDO instigated a thorough rebranding process, with the intention of expanding the Growler brand’s range. A new design style, with a big attitude, allowed Growler to capture the attention of a younger target audience. The new designs retain Growler’s hardy British heritage, but are quintessentially modern and endearing.
Since relaunching, the more accessible Growler range has seen regional sales increases of up to 470% YOY, with a 31% YOY increase in sales turnover. Not only have Nethergate Brewery secured four new retail customers, they have even taken on a new investor – and slashed their overheads by reducing bottling costs by 40p per case.
