Lineham Farm Children’s Centre was set up in 1993 to offer under- privileged children the chance to experience activities such as mountain biking and climbing.
Lineham need £100,000 a year to run the farm and the brief was to develop fundraising ideas that would help them towards this target. And so the Eccup Beer Festival was created, offering fun for everyone and a chance to spread the word about the farm.
With a strong identity and supporting collateral, the Festival looked like an established, credible event and the results have been incredibly refreshing, proving that good design and hard work can make a real difference to people’s lives.
In total £5,600 was raised, 60% more than the target and eight times more than their previous biggest event. By selling 1,200 pints, 251 tickets and 48 tent pitches as well as attracting 24 sponsors, Lineham raised enough for 19 children to stay at the farm for a week.
